Is there any products on the market that can convert 16mm film to digital such as DVD? The product would need to be fairly low cost under $1000 and produce decent enough results to use the footage in corporate videos. I have about 100 16mm reels of historical footage from a manufacturing company including high speed motion capture that was filmed for the aviation industry and company events from the 1960's - 1980's.
It is cost prohibitive to send out in these economic times and I am looking for a method that a non video expert can operate. I don't want to video tape a projected video on a screen.
Any thoughts are appreciated. I am a corporate photographer so I am posting in this area.
