 | JVC GY-DV550 w/ CCU - Feedback?
on Jan 18, 2006 at 4:38:02 am |
Looking for feedback of the GY-DV550 with the CCU. Anyone out there using this camera? We need to replace 2 20+ yr old Sony BVP270 cameras (I know, but they are so not matching - our engineers ran diagnostics all day and just can't tweak them back into spec...) I'm looking at these cameras as stop gap until the big money pot fills up enough to buy the Hitachi Z4000 CCU system.
Anything to look out for on these cameras?

The JVCs are fantastic little cameras...we haven't been ecstatic about the durability of the tape transport, but the cameras do a great job of making pictures...well beyond their relative cost IMO.

Thanks, Tim. That's what I was looking for. They'll be sitting in a studio feeding a component video switcher. I guess the only problem now is what they'll look like sitting on big Vinten studio dollys with full size telepromters. It should be rather humorous - maybe I'll post pix!
