When I try to update my location I get a screen that says my account is deactivated.
I tried clicking the link to reactivate, and I get the following message:
"No record found, account is active or the account is not eligible for reactivation."
I'm using a real email address. The same one I use for business.
If someone could take a look at this for me, that would be great!
I'm afraid that I don't see any issues with your account. That's supposed to be good news, but in this case, I understand that it might be frustrating!
We show the account opened in 2010 (thanks!!!!), and completely unmoderated and in good standing. Definitely not suspended or deactivated in any way.
Could there be an issue with an alternate email address or forgotten password? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the issue. If the account that you used to make this post is the one you've had problems with, then I think we can assume that the issue has cleared itself up. If not, then I may need to do a little more digging.
Yes, I'm posting from the account that is having the issue.
It's strange, because everything else seems to work just fine, but here is what happens:
When logged in, I click on "Profile" in the upper right corner of the page.
Then, near the top of the page are the following tabs, "News | Local | Activity | About | Liked"
I click on "Local", and I see some local job offers.
Right above these job offers is the link, "Manage Locations".
When I click this link, I get the large Yellow "Deactivated Account" notice.
When I first joined the site in 2010, I was using a different email address.
The only thing I can think of, is that when I updated my email address (a few years ago) maybe my profile didn't update completely and perhaps there are some remnants of my old email address somewhere?
I've updated my password a few times as well, but my password seems to be fine.
