OMF Exporting woes

Ken ConradOMF Exporting woes

I am trying to expot and OMF file from FCP to a Pro Tools for audio mixing. I export it and convert it to Sound Desinger files, and when it is imported into Pro Tools the audio starts to fall behind the video. Each cut is further out of sync.

Any one run into this? any help?

check your samplerate, also is crossfades there?

newer mess with crossfades.... and samplerates...

Are you using the latest version of FCP? I think all previous versions produced incorrect OMFs. Also as Naz points out, corssfades and incoorect sample rates will mess up your OMF.

If you have "Sync adjust movies over five minutes" checked in FCP preferences you could end up with non-standard sample rates which could cause your OMF problems. This should always be unchecked when using CineWave.
