I am now trying to render my project using Vegas 4 and I get beeps and that was during a prerender for sampling in my media player. I was doing it on best auto. So I stopped it and moved it to draft and it still beeps but not near as often.
So any clues what I should be looking for? The beeps seem irregular so it's not a code for video card problems ect. When rendering, is the stress being put on the CPU, the video card or my memory? I am not sure what the problem is, I ran a system check and all checks out as ok.
My system is a AMD +2500XP (Barton Core)
512 (3200) DDR memeory
Video Card: ATI 5200se with 128mb.
No not demo mode
No, not in the rendered output
Yep, random beeps during the renduring process.
Perhaps it's not a Vegas problem; after writing my original message my son & I played a game on our home network (Battlefield 1942 - Desert Combat) and I started to get the beeps as well. So If I have a question It is probably, how do I determine the cause? Video card? Ram? Or CPU, (parish the thought). I will search deeper at my end.
Well, that's one of the areas of concern I am now pursuing. Although, I think I am safe in that arena. But with computers you cannever be sure. I am now looking for a utility that will let me see the CPU temp while rendering/games ect.
