Jean-LoupRe: Interfacing CF between Combustion + AE

On the idea of having CF automaticaly create a still store on timelines with CF keyframes on them, additionally, would it be possible to create something of a scene index that you assign (or CF atomatically does) still store images to. Once you click on your selected scene, CF ques AE to the appropriate keyframe and the grade is applied there. What do you think? Any limitations, with CF, with AE? This would REALLY benifit combustion users, maybe commotion too as they lack a timeline but have the ability to keyframe events. IT would also enable the colorist to keep within his colorig application without having to keep going back and forth between CF (as a plug-in) and the application (AE, C, commotion etc). Once you keyframe the different scence in the application, then you would be more or less free to work just within the CF interface wich is a hundred times better than navigating AEs horendous interface if I may add.

And as for interface, would it be possible, code-wise to redesign the CF GUI that would enable the tool pallet to be positioned on the lower portion of the screen, not much unlike it is now, but to let the viewing window take the entire upper portion? monitoring tools, scene index/gallary etc maybe on a lower tab on the bottom like the other tools, or something - something to free up the screen realistate for the picture...?

Just curious.... Many thanks Bob.
