stock footage
by Ruby Gold on Apr 8, 2006 at 12:04:23 am

I need to get some editable stock video clips (720 x 480) to use in a couple productions and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good resources that don't cost an arm and a leg.

I need some scenes of an NA or AA meeting or something that looks like one and also clips of people in the business world--chatting in an office or hallway, in meetings, that sort of thing. I know that stock footage can typically be pretty expensive. Any suggestions? Thanks-

artbeats.com Zap footage request or shoot/stage your own. Nothing out there decent that's free.

Great question. It can be smart to maximize your budget with stock footage.

1. I have heard that films which were created by the Federal (and maybe state/local) government are available for free re-use. Is that just a rumor? If not, how does one access them?

2. Is there a "stock exchange" on the web somewhere? Sounds like a good business idea.

Other than that, those scenes don't really sound that tough to stage, as Noah suggests.
