Insert Edits over-running

Just saw in the FCP forum someone else had this issue and we're seeing it too.
We're running FCP 6.0.2 with a Panasonic AJ-HD1400 deck via RS-422.
Attempt an Insert Edit on the VTR.
The In Point is correct, but the Out-point over-runs by 1 - 5 seconds and FCP inserts black in the over-run.
I thought it was something to do with our VTR, but as someone else posted about it and they're running a Decklink, looks like it might be an FCP 6.0.2 issue.
Anyone else performing insert edits onto BetaSP, DigiBeta, HDCAM, D5 or DVCPro HD and see the same issue running FCP 6.0.2?

I get that issue when I leave the "Mastering" setting on, instead of the "Editing" setting. Mastering, by default, adds a trailer of 5 seconds of black to any edit. You can select "Editing" at the top center of the ETT window.

Other than that, I've never had this issue."
It's happening in the Editing mode.

Walter,
I've had this occur to me as well with the HD1400 deck and 6.0.2. Most annoying when you only need to fix one shot on the master and blow away 4 in the process! This only has occurred with the 1400 for me, I don't have any problems inserting to an A500 or Beta SP or even HDCAM.
Thanks,
Santi
