component to S video? composite?
by Rick Sebeck on Nov 18, 2005 at 7:45:05 pm

I recently added a i/O workstation that accompanies two Kona 2 stations. Obviously this station is less robust, and is really for my AE to be able lay off tapes, or capture some quick clips off a digiBeta deck. The sute has a Sony PVM20L1 in it. What's the best way to get the component outputs from the i/O to the monitor? Again, this is an "assistant" station, so QUALITY may be suffered for price!

Would a Sony BKM-129X Analog Input Adapter work?

Does the IO not have an S-Video out... or are you already using it?

You can get a cable that has two BNCs on one end (Luminance and Color) and an S-Video connector on the other end.

the PVM-20L1 is a crappy monitor - so the generic composite output of the I/O will be just fine for your application, as no matter what you do, the 20L1 will only look so good.

I have an i/O LD - which does not have composite output. Thats why I'm looking for a solution! I think the S video to 2 BNC seems to be my best bet.

Okay... nevermind the WHOLE post! The i/o does do composite out!

I guess reading those manuals is a good idea!
