error in digitizing

error in digitizing

This is just a curious question. I am feeding the 844 with a Sony HDW-1800 deck from the SD/SDI downconvert spigot. I often get an aborted aquire because 844 can't find the frame and I have to adjust the inmark a little until it likes it and does the dig. And, all the while (digitizing) it is complaining about time code breaks in the little lower left info window. My footage is shot at 23:98. is there a setting I am missing or is 844 confused 'cause 844 is basicly a 30 frame machine? Any thoughts? Jack

I guess that the system is confused because it expects 29.97 or 25 frames TC.

Hello,

A familiar phenomenon I'd say... I'm working with 844/X for over 3 years now and it keeps doing unexplainable things just like that.

It IS a real great system, with unmatched capabilities, especially in speed.

At work we're looking out for a switch to maybe M100's latest NLE, or FCP for HD editing.

Any tips on a fast HD system out there?
