Has anyone tried to load Cinewave 4RT onto a Mac running OS10.3.5 ? From the documentation I have read it appears to only load to OS 10.2 ??? I don't have OS 10.2... and the 4.7 update will not load from Pinnacles update page either to OS 10.3.5.

Well I guess due to the overwhelming response here and since many days have passed I have come to answer my own question. Cinewave 4.0 will not run on my system which is OS 10.3.5. Cinewave 4.7 was passed on to me via the previous owner ( not the pinnacle support web site which appears to no longer work) and the drivers are loaded and working. As for the cenewave RT software and with respect to my hacking knowledge it appears to be a no -go because even with the original key the pinnacle website no longer works. This doesn't appear to be a problem because the RT software is bundled in Final cut Pro 4.

I have just bought a 2nd hand Cinewave system to use into my G4 MDD dual with OSX 10.3.8 and FCP 4.5. I'm trying to search the driver version 4.7 that should support OSX 10.3 but I'm not able to find it in any support site. Anyone could send me the 4.7 drivers? Hey, I don't supose that you got a copy of those 4.7 drivers for Cinewave? Could you send me them if you did? My email is DavidStoltze@ionmedia.com , I spent a nice three hours on the phone with pinnacle only to have them repeat we don't support that software anymore. Thank you.

What do you mean when you say "This doesn't appear to be a problem because the RT software is bundled in Final cut Pro 4" I came under the assumption that you needed to register the Cinewave card in order to make all the other codecs (photo JPG, DV, Targa Cine 8 YUV etc) in real time. The other day I tried to reinstall my old cinewave card only to find that I can't register and all of the sudden I couldn't see any previews in real time of my old work.

Im not running video right at the moment ( mastering some music) and its been a couple of months so I am speaking from memory. There is a page in the FCP 4.5 HD menu which indicates which RT effects or transitions are being handled by whom and and that being either FCP or cinewave. Look for it and you will find it. Secondly RT effects will not work with cinewave unless you are running a G5 dual processor fitted with PCIX slots (not PCI express as there is a big difference) within OS 10.3.9 and you have the original cinewave serial number and key code. If you have these you can register them off line by going into the cinewave control panel and selecting off line registration. The last thing is that only certain effects or transitions are deemed and implemented for use in real time and they are highlighted when you go to select a transition or effect in FCP.
