Igniter X Component capture red tint
by John on Nov 28, 2007 at 4:14:52 pm

I am trying capture beta SP footage using the component
setting on the Igniter X. The screen on the capture window and NTSC monitor has a red tint. It will capture correctly using S-video and I am able to play older projects using the component output. My current setting are:
OSX 10.4.9
Quicktime 7.1.5
Igniter Driver 6.4.4
FCP 5.14

I have checked my wiring and seems to be in order. I have also tried all component capture settings. DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50 etc... Any thoughts?

Thank you

John

I'd say double check all of your cables and connections.

switched out cables and double checked connections. still not working. One thing I did try was Restore Factory Defaults in Ignition (sys pref). The picture turned to B/W on the capture window and NTSC monitor. When I exited out of log/capture and relaunched log/capture the picture went back to the red tint. Is there a setting I should have on or off in Ignition? Also, reseeded the Igniter board. Could be another tragic story to a really nice product.
