Fuse-X audio pitch down--HELP!
by Alex Salerno on Jun 4, 2007 at 11:29:30 pm

Hello and HELP. Not sure if what I have is a hardware failure. I have Part 183 (Fuse-X??). I ahve been succesfully running my setup (G4 Dual 1.2 G PowerLogix ) for a long time wihtout a hitch. As of two months ago. The analog audio out of the Fuse is at lease 1/2 key down. Everything else still works, but the pitch of all audio coming out of my Mac thru the Fuse is off pitch. I have compared this wiht a number of other sound sources, including the built-in Mac audio hardware.

I thought this problem was not even a possibility! Does this mean hardware failure or can someone think of a remedy?

Thank you in advance!!

The solution was to adjust the input and oputput settings of the Audio MIDI Setup.app so that the rates were both the same--in my case 48kHz.

It was just that the system was trying to play all of the normal content out at 44.1 instead of 48khz. The Fuse-x will do both, but the system assumes 44.1 if the preferences get corrupted or something..
