Pipe working with FCPStudio2

just got my update today and it looks as the Pipe is still working.
I have a G4 DP1.42 (I know, I know) and FCP6 and the rest of the software installs just fine.
FCP 6 has no problems using the Pipe Studio with 5.0.2 drivers.
It can even downscale HD footage for SD monitoring. Not fast by any means on my old grandpa of a computer, but it works.
Motion and Soundtrack video monitoring works as well.
The only thing that doesn't work is ext monitoring in Color. You see the option of the Pipe under the output devices, but you can't select it, same as firewire or Cinema display.

If I discover more I'll let you know...

Great news. But it sure is going to be a game of roulette! no telling when a next update will bring the house of cards down.

Don't feel bad....my personal system is on a dual 1 gig G4. I also have a Dual 2.7 G5 Pipe system as well. Plus a KonaLH on a Dual 2.7.

Great news though.

Yes, thanks for letting us know.
I'll do the SuperDuper backup first then try it too,
but I have to wait until the end of my current project.

Just noticed I'm running my Pipe Studio with driver 5.0 and firmware 2.0.
Everything seems to be fine. What did 5.02 fix? And do you guys think
I should update? My system will be changed over to HD and AJA in a few
months anyway, unfortunately.
