FCP crashing upon capture

I'm having an issue with capturing. I have a G5 DP 2.0 with 1 TB of SATA storage (4 drives striped to two) in an enclosure (Rocket Raid). I have the most recent Pipe drivers, most recent QT, FCP, and OS X updates. 4 GB's of RAM. My drives aren't too full.
I'm using component to ingest the footage. Am using a Keyspan adapter for deck control.
Every fourth or fifth capture, FCP will crash. Upon re-starting, it'll work fine for another 4 or 5 captures. The crashes seems to occur after I've clicked "OK" on the Batch Capture window, sometimes it'll happen after I click "OK" on the Insert Tape window.
I'm using a Panasonic SD93 DVCPRO 50 deck - am using the Aurora DV50 codec. This situation happened to me half a year ago, and then went away on it's own.
I know it could be a million different things....anybody have any bright ideas?

I had that same problem a few years ago when I baught my PipeStudio and I have been using the PipeStudio controler since then with no problem since. Remove the Keyspan card from the computer that also help good luck.

Can you guys point me in the right direction - since the Aurora website no longer has a Pipe manual available to download - how do I go about getting the deck-control-signal into my G5? I have the Pipe BOB, but I don't see any spigot there that seems to correspond.
