I ordered a Aurora board on line last week and now I haven't been able to contact anyone (sales or tech support) from Aurora. Are they still in business?

My belief is that Mike and company are probably filling for bankrupcy. I have tried to call on serveral occations and nobody answers or returns calls or e-mails. They make a great product, but it seems they've lost out to the competition. Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity/response to postings on this forum which seems to indicate that Creative Cow isn't bothering to support Aurora any more.

The writing was pretty much on the wall when they were no shows at NAB. They needed to announce a PCI-e card for the new G5 tower. When that didn't happen, I knew something was up.

There are a lot of companies who have decided that the $70K+ required to exhibit at NAB is a huge waste of money. How many cards would we have to sell to recoup that kind of outlay? Besides, with today's competitive climate, that money could be much better spent on engineering talent...

At last, some answer from Aurora guys.... I hope you're still in business for your thousands of users out there. Please, you should make anouncements of what's going on otherwise people will believe Aurora is no longer in business.
By the way, no drivers updates since March 2006 is a bit worrying for some users expecting support with the current FCP and QuickTime versions.

Jean-Philippe,
The current AuroraAV drivers for the Pipe/FuseX family of cards are fully compatible with the latest OS/QT/FCP releases. This is a testament to the amount of time that was spent by us and Apple engineering in getting them to pass FCP qualification the first time. We have not built IgniterX nor updated the drivers for some time, and have no plans to do so.

Since I was forced to buy a competitors HD card i am not as interested anymore. I have two Pipe Studio's and they are simply awesome...outputs live all the time and the interceptor is quite useful...clients are constantly wowed by their small windows media clip playing out on the NTSC monitor. Very easy to set up and use...simple control panel.
I would think a company out there would want to buy Aurora, unless their assets are nothing new. To me they made a great product in the Pipe Studio and it would be a technology ripe for the picking.
