I've been a happy owner of the Ignitor RT card for years, and have recently purchased a G5 with PCIe. I'm wondering if anyone can give me an idea of when there will be a Pipe Studio card for PCIe. I jumped ship and bought a BlackMagic product, but am going to return it. Nowehere near as elegant. Doesn't have good monitoring of anything, and I greatly miss using the BOB from Ignitor. So the question I have is when for Pipe Studio PCIe, and how much to upgrade, and can I keep my breakout box? Can I be a beta tester??? I'm totally willing! btw I'm still using this mostly with Beta SP (UVW1800) via component connections, and some MiniDV. Also HD, but not with this system.

Not sure it's exactly a dead company, but it is a great product for sure. and not sure it matters if it is a PCI-e card or not for standard def. G5's take PCI cards as well. Get fast drives and you'll be all set.

My bad...read that wrong.....but that is exactly why I bought a G5 dual 2.7...so I had the PCI-X slots not the PCI-e slots! But for PCI-e slots, I would guess Pipe users will see an HD card before they see a PCI-e card!
