Uncompressed Codec Compatibility Igniter-Pipe??

Greetings. I am happily running a G4 with an Igniter (not uncompressed, but at 13.3MB/s MJPEGA).
I have the opportunity to add an uncompressed daughter card cheap.
My question is: will this config (using the latest Igniter drivers) be codec compatible with a newer Pipe system? That is, do the two sytems use the same codecs and can I interchange captured files from one system to the other??

Hi Alex,
Yes, the Aurora eXtreme uncompressed codecs are not only the same on Igniter and Pipe, but are based on an Apple spec, so are compatible with all current uncompressed solutions like the Apple IO, Kona, etc. so you can easily move projects around.
One difference between our implementation and Apple's is our has color filtering for improved image quality in FCP, while's Apple's codec's are tweaked for RT speed.

You know that is really good marketing info, as well as technical info. The fact that the Aurora guys made sure they are Apple compatible, which makes them also compatible with other vendor's cards that are compatible with Apple codecs.
This should be part of the regular marketing copy for the entire Aurora line.
