After a nightmare weekend, and a lot of troubleshooting, a new Pipe Card solved the drifting audio issue. It seems the bad card was clocking audio at a somewhat lower sample rate than 48k and that was the problem. the bad card is in the box and heading back!

Thanks Mike at Aurora for helping with the replacement.

Is that the word around these parts of the pasture? "Who's that new crazy guy?" You have to admit, when I troubleshoot, I exhaust every last possibility, and document my work!

Anyway, still love the product and it's now doing everything it's advertised to do.

Also, I'm like many of you and look forward to news of an Aurora HD card (with proper audio clocking, of course). Eventually we will need an HD solution, and wouldn't it be great to add another card with HD I/O right next to a pipe and have some way for them to work together to downconvert or upconvert on the fly etc?

Thanks for the call, David.

Hey Rich,
We got the board today, and sure enough, the PLL was not locking in at 48KHz. Strange indeed. swapping the component fixed it right up. Thanks for your patience and excellent troubleshooting.
