fcp monitoring
by Earle Nichol (Pearl) on Aug 6, 2008 at 12:10:30 am

Just a quick survey gang...I'm losing a Kona card to a digitize station for our shared storage. I would like to know how most people are doing their monitoring. Are you just editing on the Apple cinema's (or what ever your computer monitor is) and then using the digital cinema out option for screenings? Or are you purchasing a lower cost Decklink Extreme Card? Or are we all purchasing Kona cards? I just need to state a case.

Thanks for any input.

We use all konas even for monitoring. You could just go with an LHe.

Get a card so that you can monitor in SD and HD. You need to do this unless web video is your only output.
