Blank viewer after Studio 2 upgrade
by Adam Alphin on Jul 29, 2008 at 4:38:21 pm

I recently upgraded to Studio 2 to edit a project that combines DV and XD-CAM material on one timeline. For some reason the viewer displays all clips as a blank white screen when paused or scrubbing back and forth in time. No problem when you simply play the clip, but as soon as you pause again, it whites out. Makes it very difficult to pick the exact frame you want.

I have a Dual 2.3 gig Power PC G5 with 4.5 gigs of ram. All the media is on a RAIDed firewire 800 drive.

Since this project began, all my other standard DV projects have the same problem.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Adam

#15 White or Black Canvas or Viewer

Shane's Stock Answer #15: White or Black Canvas or Viewer

Make sure the canvas or viewer are selected then go to VIEW>CHANNELS and set it to RGB. It might be set to ALPHA.
