LiveType Custom Effects Aren't Rendering

Hi-
I searched through the posts, but I couldn't find one that quite described my problem.
I made a simple custom effect that simply fades a title in by changing the opacity of the text. And when I play it back in LiveType it works fine, however, when I try to render it or export it to Final Cut, it drops it completely.
Am I not doing something correctly?
