Mixed Formats - How to export correctly
by Patricia Stitson on Jul 16, 2008 at 7:49:56 pm

Hi there,

I have a project using HD and DV and, when I output, I am having issues. Can I use the simple QT conversion or do I have to go through Compressor? Is there a simple asnwer on how to output a project with mixed formats?

Thank you!

[Patricia Stitson] " Is there a simple asnwer on how to output a project with mixed formats? "

Unfortunately, no, there is not a simple answer. Only simple marketing.

Can you say more specifics about the frame rate and resolution of your timeline, HD footage and SD footage?

Both the SD and HD video were digitized at- and the sequence preset is ---- DV NTSC 48kHz 24bits per pixel.. 720X480..

EVERYTHING seems to be squished on output-- though it is most apparent with the SD footage.

Any help?

What is the intended output? Tape, DVD or Internet?

Can you explain in more detail what you need to do? Are you trying to output into different codecs like DV and HD formats all from the same timeline?
