Turn off 2nd monitor - MB Pro - thanks
by Jon Roberts on Jul 9, 2008 at 5:16:56 pm

Trying to watch a baseball game and work at the same time - been a while since I turned it off.

Have a external monitor hooked up to macbook pro and when I launch FCP, it shows the VIEWER or whatever I have selected in the external monitor - - need instructions on-how to turn off so I can watch the game and work at the same time. If the game is streaming and I launch FCP, the audio for the game still plays but the monitor switches to FCP.

Forget the command.

Not to often there is a day game on !

Thanks

I am using FCS2 shooting with XDCAM EX1.
Mac Pro 2x3 GHz Quad-Core Intel.

I am working on a 90sec project. and whenever I try to export the movie as a quicktime (480x270). it says it's going to take 3 hours. When I used to do this same project in SD (720x480) it only took about 8 min. is there a special way I should be setting up my project to export/render faster??

Thank You,
John

I don't think you meant to reply to this post (which is mine) but I think you should repost with a thread heading.

My question (again) is I am watching a baseball game right now and can't work as if I do, off goes the external monitor connected to the Macbook Pro, so am sure its a simple answer but have had it on so long, I forget how to turn it on and off.

Help, as I need to get to work. LOL.

What the HECK does this have to do with the original question? You need to start a new thread for this question...
