Looking for the best way to create video tutorials from live screen captures from a PC and finishing on FCP. At first we were looking at doing them from an HDMI port to a AJA converter to HD-SDI and capture directly to FCP thur a Kona card, but it seems most everyone is using a software based method like Camtasis or Adobe Contribute, is that the case?? Does the software capture have better quality and flexibility? We are also looking at being able to zoom into sections. We have about 7 hours of material to go through, so speed is also a concern. Thanks for any insight

I use screen capture software. iShowU is the current one I use. I also used SnapzPro...but it takes a while to encode. And to zoom in you just turn on Universal Access and figure out those controls.
