	Quickest AVCHD to HDV Tape method? by Brandon Thomas on Jul 3, 2008 at 8:16:45 pm Hey all- Trying to get AVCHD footage shot on the Vixia10 to HDV Tape for archive. 	Re: Quickest AVCHD to HDV Tape method? by Ray Raley on Jul 3, 2008 at 9:02:34 pm I have a Vixia HF-100 as a home camera. Everything I have logged and transfered came in as 1920 x 1080 Pro Res. I do not know how you would get to HDV 1440 x 1080 without some sort of render, though I have not tried. Seems like a lot of math on the fly. Regards, Ray Respond to this post Return to posts index


	Re: Quickest AVCHD to HDV Tape method? by William Carr on Jul 3, 2008 at 10:39:46 pm Via software and conversions this will be a very, very processor intensive operation every time. If you're going to be archiving to tape all that you shoot on AVCHD consider a hardware solution, some way to get your HDMI-C out to your HD SDI in-- that way at least it's a real time transfer camera to camera without tying up a workstation.
