Campatibility of Sony mini DV camcorders and FCP suite two

I recently became director of a high school media department. As such, I want to purchase new Sony Handy camcorders that still employ the mini digital tape technolgy. All our existing technology is Sony. I have been looking at the following cameras: DCR-HC96, DCR-HC62, DCR-HC52 and DCR-HC48. Are all of the these camcorders equally good or do some represent hidden glitches with respect to Final Cut Pro Suite Two? The additional complication is that I must make my purchase by June 30th when the school year budget is closed. Any insight from people familiar with the cameras and the editing program would be much appreciated.
