Save own default settings for Export Quicktime Conversion?
by Rod Main on Jun 25, 2008 at 8:21:47 pm

Is it possible to save my own defaults for the Export Quicktime conversion dialog (like in Avid - there, I said it!). I prefer to offer MPEG4s for uploaded ftp viewing copies since there are still people who aren't set up to watch H.264s, and I am forever typing in the same info over and over each time I make a viewing copy.
I certainly can't find how...

whoa?

beats me? I was gonna say how compressor is the way to go etc etc, but i guess i interupted myself again!

I will add that if you export a quicktime movie, either self contained or a reference, you can use that in compressor and not tie up FCP doing encoding

hope this helps, and i also hope this goes through!

Thanks to you both. I'll go off and dip my toe in the Compressor water now, as it were.
