Latest on DVD@access alternatives?
by mortimer heathcliff on Jun 2, 2008 at 9:01:55 pm

I just used DVD@ccess again, and it works GREAT on my PC (yes, believe it or not!), but oddly enough not on my Mac where it was actually created. Yes, I have the option turned on in DVD Player, rebooted, even reburned the DVD, and still no dice on my Mac. But instantly goes to the right webpage on my PC (Windows XP). I've read a bit here about Sonic's eDVD, but it also sounds like that one is gone. Intellidisc? Is it reliable, and how do you incorporate it with DVDSP?

What is the best solution these days to allow a user to jump to a webpage (whether on a PC or Mac) right from the DVD menu?

thanks again!

Think this is the wrong forum.

The only consensuses seems to be the recommendation to just create pages that list websites instead of actual links. While DVD@ccess may work on a particular PC it may not on the next. I believe Intellidisc is not being supported anymore but it never worked on Macs. I have talked clients out of using any links for years, I realize this may not be want you want.

Ya, thanks for reminding me about the post. I just realized it when I didn't see my post on the DVD SP forum...(where i THOUGHT i had posted this). Sorry for that error.

Bummer news what you say, and you're right again...it wasn't what I wanted to hear, but if that is what is, then it is shall it be. Maybe the best I can tell my client is that, "it will work on some computers". And on the ones it does not work, at least they will see a menu that tells them which website they WOULD HAVE been automatically sent to.

thanks again!
