Hello All,
I'm researching Color Correction software plugins that can be used with FCP as an alternative to Color. I would appreciate suggestions and feedback.I'm also interested in suggestions on scopes for color correction and a HD/SD legalizer. We are a mac facility. We do mainly broadcast tv work.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Arjun

Colorista and Magic Bullet Looks Suite are alternatives to Color. I use Colorista. But it doesn't come with separate scopes. The only software scopes you have with FCP are the built in ones and the ones that come with Color. If you need alternate scopes you have to look at hardware options...and they ain't cheap.

Thank you for your reply. Besides Harris scopes do you have any other suggestions for Hardware.
Thanks
Arjun

Videotek, which I think is now owned by Harris, Tektronix, Leader & Hamlet.

The Tektronix WVR 5000 is a nice low cost scope option. We saw it at NAB and it remains high on our list. We purchased a Harris SD/HD legalizer last year and just love it (Harris DL 860). It saved our butts many times while delivering HD shows to History channel. Now we pass every show through this box before it hits tape.

You can have a look to Color Finesse (http://www.synthetic-ap.com/).
Comes with a good videoscope. You can work as stand-alone or as a plugin for FC and AE.
I think that if Apple would have included Color in FC, this would be my choice for CC.

Mac OX 10.5.2-FC 6.02-QT 7.4.1
G5 2x2Gh 4GbRAM-BlackMagic Extreme
PMBP 17"Core2Duo 4GbRAM-AJA ioHD
JVC DTV-17"
SONY EX-1 . SONY PD170
..and always a big mess on top of the table.
