How to simulate a blue only in Final Cut
by Arthur Puig on May 23, 2008 at 6:35:47 pm

Hi,
I have to fix a dead pixel that is only viewable in blue only mode, I can see it in the monitor, but it would be better if I can see that in my canvas, specially when the dead pixel is moving, it gets really hard to track it in the monitor.
So far I tried to use some channel filters but I cannot get to see it as in the monitor

Thanks!

You can always duplicate one of the pixels on either side of the dead one and move the duplicated one in its place. It's not perfect but it works.

[Arthur Puig] "specially when the dead pixel is moving"

A dead pixel, by definition, should not move. It should always be in the same place because it will always be the same pixel that's dead.

Perhaps a camera with image stabilization?
