	Codec for Sound Mixer: Motion JPEG A by Samah Tokmachi on May 11, 2008 at 9:19:22 pm Hi, I'm prepping my film for sound mix, and the sound mixer has asked me to make QT Motion JPEG A version of the film, along with the OMF's I'll export for him. I have seen this codec in passing before, but not as an choice through any of the Export options in FCP. Is it possible to export a sequence as a Motion JPEG A file in FCP 6? Can anyone tell me how? And if not, what can I do to give him what he wants? I also need to make sure that I maintain the same frame rate in whatever I export. Thanks, Samah Respond to this post Return to posts index


	Re: Codec for Sound Mixer: Motion JPEG A by Rafael Amador on May 12, 2008 at 2:11:00 am Any of the "Off-line RT" Sequence presets. They are based in the Photo-JPGE codec. Duplicate the Sequence preset that fits you. Then change the encoder to Motion JPEG if you want. But I would recommend you to keep the Photo-JPGE codec instead of the Motion JPGE A.
