HDV Stream Errors While Loading

Hey, I just discovered what may be a crazy link to big problem I was having with stream errors kicking out my HDV 1080i load on a Canon XLH1. The load would stop without any indication why other than the stream error, and would stop at different places varying between 30 seconds and 1.5 minutes after starting the load. No tape drop outs, camera pause, etc.
Tried everything to figure it out, including various forums, but it seems I fixed it by changing the batteries in my logitech wireless mouse! The batteries were dying and the only thing I did different between a failed load attempt and the next load that has given me no problems for over an hour is replacing the batteries in the mouse. Imagine that.
Anybody know why that might fix this sort of problem?

Hi Steve,
I never had another problem with loads after I replaced the batteries in my wireless mouse. However, something to consider is that a month or so after I replaced the batteries in the mouse, the mouse failed and I had to buy a new one. I think the USB xmitter/receiver failed. It was probably failing when I was having my initial problems.
All this to say, maybe your USB connection with your mouse is failing or you have a bad cable for the mouse. Try a different mouse and see if that solves the problem. You never know.
