sony xdcam footage, how do I convert?

Hi,

I'm shooting a piece on the sony xdcam and it's for the internet. How exactly do I dump and down-res the footage using Final Cut Pro? It needs to go from the camera to mpeg4.

The clips are already mp4 right out of the camera, but to use in Final Cut , you need to convert the files to Quicktime, and for that, you need the Sony EX transfer software, which is a free download from Sony.
