is there any quick and dirty way to grab/save source/rip video from youtube for import to a final cut project

i've tried videodownloader 2.0 among other tools that come up with a google search. but can't get any to work. id this a windows mac issue?

Try MPEGStream Clip (You'll also need to download and install the perian quicktime codec) it works very well and it's free.

Just did this using iShowU, http://shinywhitebox.com/.... I found it on the Aplle downloads page. It is 20 or 40 bucks and is truely awsome.. Check out their demo..

Lets you capture what ever is on the screen with audio all the way up to 1080p.

I used it to mash together a Xmas video for a friend in the hospital that doesn't have access to You tube, but doe have a DVD player..

Can't say enough good things about it.... Except to say, Watermark / brand / bug all your demos or they will be on the big screen.
