DNxHD 1080i codec
by Angela Forster on Sep 12, 2007 at 2:45:50 pm

my clients work in Avid and keep sending me documentation of work as QT files with a DNxHD 1080i codec. i haven't been able to convice them how to use a codec that can be read by my Intel Mac.

how do i download the Avid codec to my system without being a developer? in the past on my regular mac OSX i was able to simply down load and place the file in the appropriate folder. now the instructions are to go in and "program."

i'm a classic "end user" and would like to be able to "read" and "see" files from my clients that i can put into FCP and create demo reels.

thanks,
a.

Its not really that difficult, goto the avid site and download their quicktime codec package.

thats all there really is to it.
