UPRES - Batch Capture Issues
by birliban (Birliban) on Aug 21, 2007 at 1:23:59 pm

Hi
Here is the question.
My client edits his stuff low res and brings me a FCP Project to Upres at my studio. During his process he fist captures several tapes completely and than edits. How can I batch capture ONLY his cuts without having to capture the whole tape. I have done it by creating an EDl from his sequence, but is there any other way. I've tryied just Batch Capturing the cuts from the timeline but it always ends up wanting to capture the whole tape first.
Greatly appreciating your feedback.

Use the 'create offline' feature of the media manager.

See this for details:

This is from an old version of FCP, but the basic priniples are still there.
