Hi !
We are a company in Sweden doing video-editing in Final Cut Pro 6.
Just recently another company here in Sweden shot a video using a Panasonic DVC PRO HD 900-camera in 720p50-format.
The problem is that we want to edit this material in our Final Cut-editor, and therefore need to get this 720p50 material in our timeline within Final Cut.
The company that has filmed this material uses Avid Xpress Pro, and that editor can capture 720p50-material. They would gladly capture the material (9 hours of film) to a disk and send it to us, but the material they capture is in MXF-format on the harddrive (not QuickTime which is the preferred format for Final Cut).
I heard from Apple that a convertion from 720p50 to 720p25 is posible within Final Cut Pro, so as soon as i have the files on a harddrive there SHOULDN

When you get the MXF files, you'll simply choose Log and Transfer from the File menu... and bring it in. It's during that process that FCP converts them to QT movies. It should be easy with no worries.
