I know i'm doing something wrong. Can someone give me the right info? How should I bring 720p/n footage in?

As far as I know, you should be using the Easy setup for DVCPRO 720p24. did you?

720p/n creates media files which are natively 24fps... other than that it's the same as removing the pulldown say from tape shot at 720p24.

The sequence setting then should be 23.98fps. Is it?

That's what I did . I used easy set up.
I'll try again.
But I've never removed the pulldown. How is that done?

Thank you,
Michael

[Michael Pierre] "ut I've never removed the pulldown. How is that done?"

there is no pulldown in the 24pN format from the HVX.

if it was shot on Varicam the pulldown should have been removed on ingest if you set proper in and out points on capture.- Using "Capture Now" does not always understand how to remove the redundant frames.

Those files already have no pulldown... that's why the p/n designation. You shouldn't need to process them at all.

They should work in DVCPRO100 23.98 sequence. They were shot with a 200 right?

After selecting the proper easy setup, then make sure you MAKE A NEW SEQUENCE. It's very important, otherwise the first sequence in there (sequence 1) has the settings from whatever was left from your last project.
