After FCP upgrade, opening project crashes computer

I upgraded to FCP 5 yesterday. Everything worked fine, did a "save as" for the project, did some work on it, saved it, shut down. Today when I try to open the project file, it gets about halfway through reading the project file then I get the "restart computer" error. The program opens fine, it's just the project file I have that does it. Both the new "save as" file and the original file do it. Heard of this? Help?

Trash your FCP prefs.

Repair Disk Permissions on your system drive.

Restart the Mac and then try opening the project. That's a start anyway.
