OT - LogoMotion replacement
by Ric Christoferson on May 5, 2006 at 2:14:17 pm

Sorry for this OT question but...

I've been using a 3D animation program called LogoMotion for over 15 years. Picked it up at NAB in '95 for around $90. I have animated logos and text in a 3D world with this program for years and I can not tell you how many clients have been impressed with the results. Lots of billable. Anyway, Specular has gone out of business years ago and this program only works under OS 9. It is the ONLY program we still use that requires 9.

Does anyone know of a similar 3D animation program, as simple to use with all the stage hands and built in elements and will work in Tiger?

Motion and LiveType are just fine but we really need that 3D world of spins and tumbles and slides with our own created objects.

Thanks for your response.

Have you looked at 3d Invigorator - a piece of software available as a stand-alone app or AE plug-in? Logomotion sounded good - I'd love a simple to use piece of software that '3d's' logos and text. Marquee is the Avid app I'd most like to see on FCP (at the risk of starting a heated discussion starting "Marquee? Are you nuts? What I miss from Avid is...")

Ric

Take a look at this. I am looking for a Logomotion replacement too. This has some of the qualities Logomotion had.
