I can't believe no one was talking about this from NAB. This is big. Finally we can do real insert and assemble edits in DVCPRO HD without spending 60 grand on the studio deck. Huge!

well, it's big and not so big. for network broadcast it still needs to get to HDCAM so while I'm really happy to see frame accurate, insert editing possible in DVCPro HD, I still need to ultimately get to HDCAM for mastering. That's why I'm more excited about the Kona 3 cross-convert from 720 to 1080i than the 1400.
But the 1400 is definitely what the 1200A should have been all along.
