FREEBIE Motion clock template
by Peter Wiggins on Nov 29, 2005 at 1:08:42 am

All,

After reading here about the lack of a decent countdown clock, I decided to make one in Motion.

Its a PAL 720x576 SD 16:9 anamorphic clock that gets regularly used in the UK and Europe although I would imagine it would be fairly easy to adapt into other standards & formats.

You will find it at the top of my homepage peterwiggins.com take a look.
Who says you don't get anything for free!!!

Here is another free one made in FCP 4.5 - I have also found a problem with nested sequences changing field dominance when rendering see here for details

Hi Phil,

Not so strange that your nested sequences are changing fields.
"Clock face DV Anamorphic F1" has Field Dominance: Upper, while "DV Clock Field 1 nested" has Field Dominance: Lower!!

Richard

Thanks for that it was driving me mad. Although if you look in sequence settings it said upper but if you look in item properties it said lower, I have now changed it to upper

Phil

In my version of FCP( :-) ) both are consistent, in setting as well as in properties: Lower Field

Richard

Very Interesting I junked prefs and looked again at original project and still get the same result.

I will have to watch out for that in future although I would not normaly change field dominence mid project
I did in this case to check things out.
