Why? WHY!!!!!! it's the little things in FCP that keep it from being top notch. Like if you have a nest, and timecode overlays on, it will show you a timecode in NDF in the overlay, but if you matchframe back to the nest which was DF, then it's a different timecode.

Gotta say... Not the best way to start off. Others have taken this approach and it never really worked for them either.

I use it everyday, making money since version 3. i love it, i gave up the avid system, but sometimes BOOT to the FCP! YaAAHHH!

I work on an Avid every day, and there are MANY times I want to take my boot to it.

I'm not going to be hard on the software but I think it's far from flawless. I use it everyday too and there's not a day when I have to create a work around for something. Like when exporting a movie using QT conversion ( because compressor can't connect to background process/ I had it working for a week and stopped.) FCP will say that the movie isn't rendered when it is clearly rendered.

I wish it was a little more solid.

I do love the program.
