I know my way around final cut, and have been using it for years- though my knowledge is very limited.
This is the first time I had used FC in a long time.
I had simply "imported" my video into FC, somehow forgetting to "Log and Transfer" the footage. duh.
I edited the entire 30 minute project, syncing the separate audio.
I have now properly ingested the same footage via Log and Transfer - E1.
Instead of restarting the entire project from scratch, I would like to know if there is any easy-ish way that I can replace the old video with the new?

Try making your video offline, in order to do that change the folder of your raw material somewhere else and then reconect it with your transcoded material. It should be easy because you have the same names of the files.
In order to reconect you can do it manually giving right click to the files and seleccting reconect media. Then choose you transcoded media with the same name.
Thank you, yess! Any suggestions how to export exactly- t3i footage pro rez 422. 30 min long video. i did the uncompressed 8 bit the first time around. can do that again, just took forever. Wanting top dvd quality. can compress later for online.
Really appreciate the great help guys! great community on creativecow :)
