Hi,

I really hope someone can help me. I've spent hours reading about this issue on the internet and still havent found a solution.
I created a menu in Photoshop. When I import it in DVDSP on the preview it seems fine. When I burn it to dvd there is a pulsating flickering in certain parts of the photo-around the eyes of the person on the image and some letters. I tried to blur the letters and image, but nothing improved. Watching the dvd on a mac shows the same issues.

Thanks in advance,
Tatyana

[Tatyana Mircheva] "I created a menu in Photoshop."

Did you create the menu at 720 x 480 - 72 dpi? If not, then DVDSP had to scale it, which it doesn't do very well.

DPI is irrelevant.

The absolute square pixel count is, and 720x480 is correct for 4x3 SD NTSC DVD. Create 853x480 for 16x9.
PAL is different -- 720x576 for 4:3 and 1024x576 for 16:9

Is the menu made from a frame of video you imported into Photoshop? If so, did you deinterlace? You won't see this while in Photoshop, but it will be noticeable when the graphic is brought into DVDSP.

Hi guys,

the menu was created with a good quality image-not a screen shot.

If youre watching it interlaced, then its probably a moire effects from interlacing. Smaller objects and certain patterns will cause this.

We'd have to see the menu itself
