Hi, I wonder if anyone has experience or a workaround to this. I made many files for a client that faded up from black (the first image is 90 percent black). after finishing the client requested a full (100%) frame of black at the top of the spot. Instead of outputting all of these files again, i thought i would simply open in quicktime pro
paste in a frame of black (using black with the same codec and format) and save. well, it works great on the desktop, but i tried to open the finished file in final cut and it totally bypasses the frame of black, starting the file one frame later. any thought about why this is happening, and is there a workaround?

thanks,
td

When you cut and paste like that, the QT file only references the other file you added. It won't really incorporate it into the file. You need to do a SAVE AS in order to make a new QT file with that new item.

Yeah, I found out the hard way too.
