No Timecode

I am trying to media manage some projects and I was told that for media manager to work correctly my video needs timecode and reel info to be able to get rid of unused media. Some of my video does not have timecode on it. What is the simplest way to add timecode to my footage? I have a lot of video that I would need to add timecode to.
