sending an FCP mac project file to FCP windows

sending an FCP mac project file to FCP windows

Hi guys,

I want to be a gentleman and synch the rushes to audio before I hand it to the client. I work on Mac, the client on PC. I'm on FCP 7 and I don't yet know which version of FCP the client has.

From what I understand, if i export an xml of the sequence my client won't be able to open it due to the variations in file structure.

What are my options?

FCP is Mac only. There is no PC version.

What you need to do is find out exactly what editing software they are using. It ain't FCP.

He will have no version of FCP on a windows machine. Because that doesn't exist.

Darn. I've always been a mac user and it shows. They use premiere - will they be able to open my XML?

I know it works with CS 5 and 5.5. Do you know what version they are running?
