Avid DNxHD 720p

Hello all,

Quick one: Anyone notice an odd bug where you make a 59.94 720p sequence and you get "Codec not found" error ?

If I switch the sequence to 1080i its fine again !

Any thoughts ?

Yes, 2.3.2 installed.

Do you get the same error if you set-up a sequence at 1280 x 720, 59.94 ?

Yep same here (codec not found). If I change the frame rate to 29.97 it is OK with 720p but not at 59.94

Yeah, thats what I get as well. Its not consistent and seems to knock out any further ideas. Maybe roll back to an earlier codec package ?

Thats what I thought, just wanted to see if its just me or its common throughout the FCP land..

That seems work ok, its also ok to work full 1080p (!). Thing is, I need to make deliverables for an EVS system.
They are demanding 720p DNxHD which then dont import properly on my end and dont seem to work for them either.

I really think there is a problem with the new(ish) drivers. Seems crazy that no-one tested this with FCP !

If anyone has experience exporting or working with DNxHD .mov workflows, id love to hear from you
